Yakult, the probiotic drink brand, is marking the 110th anniversary of its founder’s birth with the launch of a new wellbeing campaign.
A series of competitions will run throughout April and May offering consumers the chance to win cash prizes to spend on wellbeing activities, such as cookery and language courses, sports equipment and spa treatments.
Yakult PR manager Judith Mann says that one of the aims behind the promotion is to make consumers aware of Yakult’s long heritage and tradition of “functional” foods. “Yakult has been established for 73 years,” says Mann. “As a company, health is a priority and not just a fad. The company’s founder, Dr. Shirota was dedicated to improving all round health – not just physical, but mental and spiritual too, so we’ve designed the campaign around this.”
To enter, applicants can log on to the website where they will be asked to fill in their details and write in 110 words why they should be picked to receive one of the 10 prizes of £110.
Unsuccessful applicants can still benefit by downloading or ordering a free booklet, The Little Book of Health Tips, which contains 110 ideas to boost wellbeing.
