VisitEngland, the official tourism agency for England, has appointed PR agency Trimedia UK to launch it’s latest “Enjoy England” marketing campaign.

The £3m multimedia campaign, which includes TV and print advertising, aims to make Britons reconsider their free time as an opportunity to take a trip in England.

The six-month contract is estimated by Trimedia to be worth £50,000. Trimedia UK won the business after a three-way pitch. The team working on the campaign includes Trimedia’s director of consumer brands Daniel Cohen, senior consultant Susan Hutchinson and consultant Anna Foreman-Peck. The team will be supported by client executives, Mollie Whichello and Sarah Stevens. Trimedia head of consumer brands Daniel Cohen will be leading the team.

“The campaign was won on the strength of the strategy and the creative approach,” says Cohen. “Our aim is to make consumers reconsider how they make the most of their free time.”

VisitEngland head of marketing Amanda Smyth says that she was looking for an agency that could demonstrate it could keep to the style of previous campaigns so that the brand wasn’t compromised. “Strategically, Trimedia was spot on as its creative approach perfectly aligned itself to the huge amount of work we have already undertaken.”
