Fulham Football Club has rehired digital agency Rippleffect to redesign its website in order to increase user engagement and advertising revenue.
Rippleffect originally designed Fulham FC’s website three years ago. The site is now being revamped for the start of the 2009-10 Premier League season.
Rippleffect has worked on other football clubs’ websites, including Arsenal and Everton. “We have a very good understanding of football and football websites,” says Rippleffect managing director Ben Hatton. “It can’t be like any other website, it has to reflect the brand and values of Fulham FC. We are planning to improve on the user experience with easier ticket booking and merchandise purchases. The redesign will also mean a more integrated look and feel. It will be a natural progression for the website.”
Fulham FC head of communications Sarah Brookes says that Rippleffect won the account because it understands the club and its supporters. “Having previously worked with Rippleffect, we were confident it knows what our fans expect from the website,” says Brookes. “We needed an agency that could provide a site that offers a bespoke user experience, which will fully engage our fans both domestically and internationally.”
