Dairy Crest appoints Iris

4 February 2009

Dairy Crest has appointed marketing agency Iris to launch “Milk & more”, its new delivery service. Milk & more offers customers the opportunity to order milk and other groceries online, to be delivered to their home by their local milkman.

Iris has been briefed to develop a strong identity and integrated customer acquisition campaign for the new Milk & more brand. Iris will also create a new e-commerce website for Dairy Crest, due for launch in April 2009. On- and offline promotional campaigns will run as the service rolls out nationally this year, to encourage current Dairy Crest customers to switch to ordering online and to attract new customers.

"This is a great win for the agency because Milk & more is a genuinely innovative service,” says Shaun McIlrath, joint executive creative director of Iris Worldwide. “It deserves an equally innovative communications solution.”

John Baker, joint managing director of iris Digital says Milk & more will challenge Iris: “It’s great to be working with an e-commerce client like Milk & more because they push us to use all of our digital marketing skills from technical site design to affiliate marketing.”

Iris, which provides services for clients including Shell, Sony Ericsson, ING, Adidas and Coca-Cola, has previously provided digital and promotional campaigns for Dairy Crest’s Clover and Utterly Butterly brands.
