The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Charitable Trust has donated £18,000 to the charity Media Trust Wales.
The Charitable Trust was set up in 1978 to promote general understanding and appreciation of Marketing. Its objective is to benefit the public through education, practical training and research into the art and science of marketing.
Media Trust Wales calls on the skills, creativity and connections of the media industry to help voluntary organisations and charities. The money will go to help fund setting up a “media matching,” service in Wales.
The Media Trust’s media matching service brings together media and communications professionals to advise charities and voluntary organisations that want to improve the way they communicate. The free service helps to match skilled advisers in the media with charities or voluntary organisations that require help with a specific communications need.
“We are extremely grateful for this funding from the Charitable Trust, which has allowed us to set up and grow our media matching service in Wales,” says Felicity Lambert, media matching manager. “It means increasing numbers of small and medium-sized charities can access the support they so desperately need.”
In the past, The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Charitable Trust has supported applications for funding, training and development from organisations such as the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising and the Academy of Marketing and Young Enterprise.
