The perfect fit

A new shopping technology is being used to scan a person’s body to match their personal measurements with clothing, sizes and styles stocked by retailers. The 20-second scan sends and receives low-power radio waves from a rotating, vertical “wand” that locates 200,000 points of measurement. User results suggest brand, style, retailer and price. Mybestfit has been trialled in US shopping mall the King of Prussia in Philadelphia. In a survey, 96 per cent of customers said the service was helpful, while 84 per cent said they were directed to brands they had not known about.
