Robot cause

Forget traditional street fundraisers, one charity is now using a robot instead. Money has been raised for children’s education in Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa by a robot, created by Korean based Min Su Kim. The robot Dona can move around on wheels, or stay in one spot, encouraging donations with “pet-like interaction” when stationed by boards explaining the collection. It is programmed to respond with appreciative gestures whenever money is placed into the collecting pot.
