Clothing can do so much more than keep us decent and warm. German fashion label Twosquaremeter has created eco-friendly knits that nourish the skin. Made from milk and seaweed, the company claims the clothing also binds sweat, neutralises odours and regulates body temperature. Schoeller Textil in Switzerland has developed iLoad, a fabric that administers medicines through the skin. The fabric has two layers, one of which is negatively charged and attracts the medicinal substance. Its release rate can be tailored to individual needs and is triggered by temperature and perspiration levels.
