Subject: mobile marketing

“Five smart phone ideas” provides some great tips for mobile marketing. User experience is particularly important for successful mobile engagement. Consumers have very personal relationships with their mobile devices, so it is even more crucial than with other digital channels that the user experience is right and that the recipient is engaged with on their terms.

The importance of a mobile optimised website cannot be underestimated. If a user struggles to complete a task on your website they are very likely to go to a competitor’s site. As mobile connections get faster, this behaviour will increase.

Many people are comfortable making online purchases with a computer, but using a mobile phone poses unique challenges. When creating and marketing a mobile-optimised website, marketers must help users find the site, cater for dropped connections, avoid data entry where possible and reassure users about security.
