As always, I devoured the recent edition of The Marketer with great enthusiasm. “Sector focus: SME marketing” (March, p49) raises a question. The article states: “Small businesses can struggle to recruit the ambitious high‑flying staff needed to drive the company forward.” I believe that many high-flying and ambitious marketers, such as myself (consistently promoted for the past four years), would be very interested to move from a role in a large global enterprise to an SME that would appreciate my skill, acumen and ambition to drive the company forward. But how do SMEs try and reach out to these marketers? How can I find such an SME?
